rogue_one_a_star_wars_story_posterSorry it is late… But I just watched Rogue One this weekend… AND YES! As a lifelong Star Wars fan, I have to say that after watching this movie, I am 100% satisfied with where the franchise is going and just wish that all of the prequels were like Rogue One. Is it a perfect movie? No. There are certainly some flaws to it and it certainly doesn’t compete with other movies in the Star Wars Universe post prequels, but ultimately it finds itself as a solid middle of the pack offering. But do not let that be a down! A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and YES The Force Awakens are all classics. So competing with them is no easy task.

Rogue One is the story of a young woman named Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones). She is the daughter of Galen Erso (Mads Mikkelsen), the man who built the Death Star and made the Death Star the unstoppable force that it was… Also the guy who put in the design flaw but we will get there. After years of running, Jyn is forced to face her demons between her father and is forced into assisting the Rebel Alliance in their struggle against the Galactic Empire.
