On this episode of The Nerdiest Talk Show on Earth, I interview the director of the documentary One of Us, Kelsey Davis. There is a little static from some unseen technical problems, but other than that it is an excellent episode!
So seeing as how we at HvZ:Athens based our entire invitational around the concept of this video game, I think it is only fair that I give it a review, post invite. After all, Hotline Miami is a lot of fun. It is UNGODLY difficult and frustrating on so many levels that will make you want to take a sledgehammer… But still a lot of fun. Developed by Dennaton Games, Hotline Miami is a 2D top down action beat ’em up game that is all about the glorification of ultra violence and a throw back to the 1980’s in style and in music. With call back to television shows like Miami Vice and really any 80’s movie/TV show that is set in Florida, it has all kinds of nostalgic feel.
Hotline Miami has an ‘interesting’ plot behind it to say the least. In fact, I’m not sure I can give you a legit synopsis of the plot of Hotline Miami without it being laced with copious amounts of spoilers so I will try to do my best to not give away as much as possible. But if you skip this part and just go straight into the pros and cons, then I understand.
It is over! The HvZ: Athens Invitational is finished and I am all kinds of tired! It has been a fun 36 hours! Thank you to everyone who came, it was so much fun getting to meet everyone and know everyone! Needless to say, I am exhausted and didn’t have a chance to play a game or go to the movies so sadly no review for Sunday. I will be returning Tuesday for another review and Thursday with a new video! Much love and thanks for reading and watching!
On this very special episode of the Nerdiest Talk Show on Earth, we will be promoting the up and coming HvZ:Athens Spring Invitational Friday and Saturday March 28th and 29th! Please check out the videos and meet some of the players you will be playing within the next week as well as here stories from some of the savvy veterans.
Had a great time this week at Bowling Green’s Humans vs. Zombies invitational. Much love to all my friends from Ohio University who went on the trip. It was a blast!
… But on this end I am also physically and mentally exhausted. I’m pretty much running on nothing but coffee and miracles so no review tonight sadly. I will be returning Tuesday for a new review and a few videos down the line including the next installment of The Nerdiest Talk Show on Earth as well as a friend of mine and myself trying some strange soft drinks that I found on my journeys.
