International Wrestlers better than WWE: Female Wrestlers

We continue our list of International Talent that is better than what you see on WWE with the female wrestlers in pro wrestling today. WWE does not have a good track record with women. They are often pushed to the side as an afterthought and, in the past, only been toted out to bring some sex appeal to the show. Before the recent revival of women’s wrestling, WWE has pushed more for Reality Show audience with¬†Total Divas.¬†It is because of this that Nikki and Bri Bella were pushed as the top women wrestlers when their skills in the ring could be seen as decent to mediocre. Even with a shift in today’s viewing audience wanting wrestlers like Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and Bayley it is still an uphill battle for them. Considering that their feuds typically consist of ‘bitches be crazy’ and disgusting displays like Ric Flair forcing a kiss on Becky Lynch… They have a long ways to go before they reach the level of Lucha Underground. But anyway, on with the list. Continue reading “International Wrestlers better than WWE: Female Wrestlers”

International Talent Better than WWE: High Flying/Luchador

Let’s continue part 3 of the wrestling special: International Talent Better than the WWE. Today, we are going to be talking about a type of wrestling that the WWE have been slowly weeding out over the past couple of years: high flying wrestlers. Tragically, due to the high risk nature of high flying luchadores, most of the move sets synonymous with a high flying wrestler’s repertoire is banned by the WWE. This is one of the areas that I can understand. As much as I love seeing it, sometimes high flying can be a little dangerous. However, I still love watching it and will continue to do so. I just don’t fault WWE so much on why high flyers are not exactly something they want to push. This is the list of high flyers that are better than WWE talent. International Talent Better than WWE: Tag Teams

So we continue this little special with the teams. Tag Team wrestling is some of my favorite wrestling. It means that you get to see cool tandems with great gimmicks who can feed off of each other’s energy. WWE has tragically never been a land of Tag Teams. Now that isn’t to say that they have made some great Tag Teams in their years. I can think of Demolition, The Rockers the New Age Outlaws, Edge & Christian, MNM, The Hardy Boyz, just to name a few. But it has always been historical that back in the days of the territory that southern promotions put an emphasis on Tag Team wrestling while northern wrestling (McMahon territory wrestling) focused much more on singles competition. Due to the fact that Vinnie Mac was the one who lead the charge to eliminate the territories and as such Tag Teams always takes the back seat. It is because of this that, with the exception of the ‘top tag team’, the division is treated much like an after thought. If you are a fan of Tag Team wrestling and are tired of watching the same wrestlers squaring off day after day with WWE, fear not because the International wrestling scene has plenty of wrestlers for you to enjoy. These are the international tag teams who are too good to ever be ruined by the WWE machine! Continue reading “International Talent Better than WWE: Tag Teams”
