Tanner Double Feature When the Bough Breaks & Yoga Hosers

You thought this would be the best and worst of 2016? Not just yet! I realized I had the opportunity to see two movies from 2016 that I wanted to add to the list and, as such, I have taken my opportunity. So this will be a fun little double feature that is meant clean up the rest of the movies. So here is a double feature review of Yoga Hosers and When the Bough Breaks. Tanner Reviews The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

TheboyposterLet’s talk about Nazi Exploitation films. Movies that use the mere existence of Nazis in order to fuel the appeal to watch their film. While most of these films have several sexual overtones, this is not always the case. You have your classics your Ilsa: She Wolf of the SS and your Tinto Brass’s Salon Kitty. They are typically some of the most gruesome movies out there. There to say ‘Hey, you know those Nazis?! Yeah… They were pretty fucked up!’ With movies that feature Nazis sexing people up and later castrating them on scene, yeah they can get pretty intense. A  heartbreaking historical drama about a young boy who unwittingly becomes friends with a Jewish boy in a concentration camp is nothing more than a thin veil behind what is by all means a shallow movie that exploits the concept of Nazis to attempt to gain money and be used as Oscar Bait. 220px-DodsnoOh my… When I made my Zombieland review and I said that I did not like Dead Snow, the fans of that movie were quick to try to convince me otherwise… So let’s go ahead and officially tear it a new one! Yeah I am not even going to try to be tactful here. I do not like this movie at all. I did not like it when I saw it. Plus seeing it more times and hearing what people have to say has not deterred my opinion in the slightest. It has even gotten to the point that whenever I think of bad zombie movies, this is one of the first thing that pops into my mind. It irritates me that much!
