So, I have to admit that I am on something of an Until Dawn kick recently. What can I say? I love the game and going through the different possibilities is a fun experience. So I thought to myself, how can I make this into something for my website? I know! How about I rank each of the characters from shittiest to the most redeeming. After all, the best part about this game is the fact that these characters are not just tropes in a horror movie… Well okay, if this was a movie, they probably would be. But since the game gives us plenty of time to flesh each of these characters out, it certainly gives each of them character and you can definitely relate to them… Even if they are kind of pieces of shit. So why not disect each character to determine which of them is the best of the bunch and which of them are the shittiest human beings? Sound fun? Well then, let’s get started. So yesterday, I and Twitch Streamer Jate Nott of Nott in My House played a long haul of the new video game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. To all of those who stopped in to give us a watch, thank you very much and please support Mr. Nott in his future streams. He is a good friend of mine and an entertaining streamer. In preparation for the game, I decided to do some research… And by research, I mean look at Wikipedia. From what I have seen, this game has been turning heads left and right. Not to mention, receiving copious amounts of perfect scores by many critics. Due to the fact that a lot of critics are bought off by big corporations, I did reserve a little bit of judgment when I saw this. But, like all things, I sifted through the bullshit to find out what people were really saying, and that is that this game is very good.
So after giving it a play, I have to say… Yes… This game is very good. It is most certainly a strong game and a beautiful one at that. Unlike games like Watch Dogs, Destiny, The Order 1886, and so forth that have largely disappointed the consuming masses, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt finds itself at the good games table… A surprisingly bare table when it comes to Next Gen Triple A titles. Along with Shadows of Mordor and Dragon Age: Inquisition, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is truly a game that shines. It is certainly a game that will be in contention for Best Game of 2015… But does it deserve the massive praise that it is receiving? Well let’s take a look. So I think I made it clear about my feelings for the ‘XBone’ and one of its most ‘popular’ new releases Dead Rising 3. Even if my opinions are not very… popular should we say on this matter. I stick by it 100%. I absolutely detest that game and if you find it enjoyable, then I am not going to take that from you. But we certainly have different tastes when it comes to zombie games and I will leave it at that. So with that being said, let’s talk about the other end of the spectrum… How is the PS4 fairing?
I have made it clear in the past that I am a little biased when it comes to a contest between these two consoles. I owned the original PS1 when I was a kid, I owned a PS2, PS3, and was planning on purchasing a PS4 and I have never owned an XBox or any of its successors nor ever plan to. So I suppose that when I get a chance to play both the XBox One and the PS4, I might be a little more… ‘friendly’ to the PS4… Well this kind of the case, but not by much. While it is true that I did enjoy my experience with the PS4 and the new title Killzone Shadow Fall more than I did the XBox One and Dead Rising 3, that does not mean that this wasn’t a wonderful experience for me. Killzone Shadow Fall may have been a technically better game, but the feeling that it will leave you is a very strong feeling of… meh, who gives a shit?
