I’m a fan of pro wrestling as you know. One of my favorite places to go to get up to date information on pro wrestling is What Culture. While I do not always agree with the messages, as anyone is likely to do, I have a great deal of respect for the website and the people who write the articles.
Recently, What Culture and founder Adam Pacitti started What Culture Pro Wrestling (WCPW). WCPW is a British based wrestling promotion operating out of Newcastle. The promotion is three months into its run and two major shows under their belt. While it may be a little early in its infancy to be adequately judged and to know of the promotions longevity, this will be a list of general pros and cons of What Culture Pro Wrestling. Once more, I find myself running short on time and once more, I decided to suffice this by watching a some YouTube videos of a video game that was released and give my quick and dirty opinions on it for the world to read. For most of you out there who do not know, I’m not a big fan of Far Cry. I was not a fan of Far Cry 3 making me the only sod on this planet that had a problem with the game. Far Cry 4 was just an updated version of 3, in my opinion, and as such needed to sit in the same room and think about what it did. I’ve come to the conclusion that this is just my relationship with Ubisoft now. They are just going to keep releasing shit that I do not like and over saturate the market with it until once in a blue moon Far Cry Blood Dragon or Assassin’s Creed Black Flag shows up to make my life an easier place. So when it came to my thoughts on Far Cry Primal, my thoughts were “boring” and “the same old fucking thing.” Continue reading “Mini Review: Far Cry Primal”
Over these past couple of days, I have been on a Quentin Tarantino movie kick. Over the span of this weekend, I have watched all 8 movies (9 movies if you split Kill Bill in 2 movies) and decided that my Sunday post would be ranking each of them from their least good to the absolute best. Now I will stress, this is NOT a worst to best list. All of these movies, at their worst, are excellent or at least sit-through-able. But just keep that in mind if your favorite movie happens to land at the bottom of this list. With that being said, let’s get started. A string of movies that have avoided my eye in recent years has been the wave of Christian movies that have been coming out since 2013. Typically speaking, I avoid these movies due to the fact that I hate preachy holier than thou stories that are made only for people within the Christian community to cheer while everyone else just scratches their heads. This wave of movies from people like the Kendrick Brothers and movies produced by Pure Flix are straw man movies through and through. They are not meant to tell a compelling story or even to paint Christianity in a humanizing or desirable light. They are movies that simply state that Christianity is great, everything else is evil, and here is our proof as to why this is the case. So naturally, those who associate themselves within these communities eat it up while the rest of us just pass on them as being movies that simply are not made for us. So on the opposite side of the coin, after seeing a movie that I thought was going to be bad, but turned out to be good. The next movie I saw was a movie that I thought was going to be decent, but turned out to be festering shit. That may be giving too much away on that one, but I have never been one to be the master of subtlety or waiting for the perfect moment to drop the critic bomb. But in either case, let’s talk about the strange anomaly that is No Escape. I didn’t think a movie like this could exist in this time, but I’ll be damned if I was wrong on that one. I never thought I would see a movie in 2015 that was so unintentionally xenophobic and racist that I was expecting someone to just appear in yellow face shades of Breakfast at Tiffany’s. So seeing as how I am moving on Saturday and my wonderful girlfriend has come down to help me, I am a little pressed for time. I decided to go with a lighthearted and fun romp for my Thursday review. So, is it story time with Uncle Tanner? Yes… It is story time with Uncle Tanner. A while back I was sitting in my room, Skyping my girlfriend like any normal day. When suddenly she told me that I needed to play a game. I looked at my Facebook PMs and sure enough there was a link to First Person Lover. I had no idea what it was and Kitty did not tell me a single thing about the game. It wasn’t until recently that I was able to play the game, mainly due to the fact that I couldn’t play the game on Google Chrome so I had to wait until Kitty came around with Firefox so I could give it a go… Boy was I surprised at what I witnessed. I have seen a lot of things in video gaming… But this takes the taco. Continue reading “Tanner Reviews First Person Lover”
Triple A Gaming has become a joke. Sure there have been a few games (emphasize FEW) that have been good since the next generation slinked its way onto the scene, but for the most part it has been crap, on top of crap, loaded with more crap, and now the crap has started to spill over into our computer gaming! Triple A video gaming has gone from giving us the best games imaginable to something more reminiscent of a deranged despot who believes that what is truly in everyone’s best interest if you, the peasants, shower them in gifts and praise while they continue to throw worthless tripe at you for the privilege of being abused by them.
I have discussed before why video gamers today should be playing video games from the Independent scene (which you can view here) as a way of sending some tough love to Triple A Developers that shit needs to change or you will eventually lose your customers. But in that article, I only alluded to the major problems with Triple A gaming. So today, I will give you the list of the Top 4 Ways Triple A Gaming Love to Exploit You!
Before I start this list, just keep in mind that this list is my opinion based on my viewing of the Triple A Market. If you disagree with the list, please comment below. I love a good argument. With that said, let’s get started. Continue reading “4 Ways Triple A Gaming Loves to Exploit Gamers”
