It is that time of the year again! Time to review one of the Big four of the WWE, Survivor Series. This show was… relatively successful. There was certainly some surprises to say the least and overall I walked away from the show feeling satisfied with how things worked out. It certainly wasn’t a perfect show, but the new RAW vs. SmackDown Survivor Series motif certainly played to the PPV’s strength and set it apart from the other members of the Big Four. So as always, I will review each of the matches on the Preshow and on the main show then give an overall opinion on the show itself. Also, due to them being on the pre-show, those matches will receive less attention and will have less of an impact on the overall show. Continue reading “Tanner Reviews Survivor Series”
So seeing as how I have created lists on my favorite movies and video games of all times. I thought it would be fun to do some for wrestling as well. So, seeing as how this is going to be long, I am going to keep this short and say that I am going to do two lists. While this will coincide with matches that are terrible, because I have good fucking taste and anyone who says otherwise is a dirty liar, the matches will be ranked on how much they drive me nuts as opposed to their general badness. I swear this site is about movies and video games. It really is and I will have new episodes of The Nerdiest Talk Show on Earth, video game reviews thanks to the Steam Summer Sale (praise GabeN), and some new movie reviews as well. But this was an instance where I wanted to share a little counter opinion on a phenomenon I am seeing in today’s pro wrestling industry. For anyone who is not living under a rock knows, NXT is taking wrestling by storm. It is beloved by wrestling fans everywhere as being the future of wrestling… If you think the future of wrestling is WWE which is, at the moment, appalling garbage, and you should be watching ROH, AAA, NJPW, or Lucha Underground for anything with value.
BUT, regardless of that, people are enjoying this new NXT… Well except for me… Well okay, I do enjoy it the VERY few times that I watch it. It puts on some great quality stuff and some of the most entertaining wrestling this side of the aforementioned industries. But… There are a few hang ups with the program that I do not think others recognize or if they do, they aren’t recognizing that it is a problem. In fact, some of this stuff is so bad for the number one North American company that it could spell some serious problems down the road. So with that said, I will give to you the Top 4 Reasons Why NXT is the Worst Thing for the WWE. Continue reading “Top 4 Reasons Why NXT is the Worst Thing for the WWE”
