So here we are… The top 20 greatest wrestlers of all time. Jesus Christ this has been one hell of a journey and already, looking at the 20, I have come to the conclusion that I may have split the finest of hairs in my number. Even the person who is ranked “20” can have a compelling argument as to why he would be number one. So keep that in mind people, at this point, we have truly hit the pinnacle. Any one of these 20 could be considered the greatest… But ultimately, I did make decisisions… So here we go! Also, be sure to check out the other sections as well!

Tanner Reviews Survivor Series

surviorseries2016posterIt is that time of the year again! Time to review one of the Big four of the WWE, Survivor Series. This show was… relatively successful. There was certainly some surprises to say the least and overall I walked away from the show feeling satisfied with how things worked out. It certainly wasn’t a perfect show, but the new RAW vs. SmackDown Survivor Series motif certainly played to the PPV’s strength and set it apart from the other members of the Big Four. So as always, I will review each of the matches on the Preshow and on the main show then give an overall opinion on the show itself. Also, due to them being on the pre-show, those matches will receive less attention and will have less of an impact on the overall show. Continue reading “Tanner Reviews Survivor Series”

WWE Cruiserweight Classic 1st Round Eliminations Ranked from Worst to Best Performance

downloadI still feel like absolute ass fighting my head cold. But luckily this thing was already mostly written. Either way, after writing a list of the competitors ranked least likely to win to most likely to win the WWE Cruiserweight Classic, I decided to also rank their performances from worst to best as they are eliminated. So this is the first round list of all the wrestlers who were eliminated, after the second round is finished, I will write one for them, and then we will see how we combine them from there. Ultimately this will all lead to a list of all the competitors ranked from worst to best. Continue reading “WWE Cruiserweight Classic 1st Round Eliminations Ranked from Worst to Best Performance”

Top 20 Most Overrated Wrestlers of All Time

oI am ready for the hate I am about to receive for this list. There are a number of wrestlers, both past and present, who receive WAY TOO MUCH adoration and praise from the fans for being sub par athletes, sub par on the mic, or are just plain dull. So this list is going to include 20 wrestlers and a few honorable mention who have received more praise then they deserve over the years. This is the Top 20 Most Overrated Wrestlers of All Time.

I should also state that this list will include wrestlers outside of the WWE sphere. While the primary focus is on WWE, WCW, and ECW talent due to the fact that this is a US centric list, you will also find wrestlers from NJPW, AAA, NWA, and so forth. With that said, I’m ready to prepare for the hate! Let’s get to some dishonorable mentions. Continue reading “Top 20 Most Overrated Wrestlers of All Time”

Wrestlemania 32 in Review

WrestleMania_32_posterAh, Wrestlemania 32 is over. The dust has settled and now we can all talk about what just transpired. This was by no means one of the greatest events in wrestling history, but at the end of the day I left pleasantly surprised at a lot of the events that transpired. So to hop on the bandwagon of people talking about the Grandaddy of ‘Em All, I am going to review each match on the Wrestlemania pre-show and regular show to give a good feeling of how the show faired. Keep in mind, the pre-show is going to get very minimal coverage as it doesn’t really count for the show at large, but a few sentences will suffice. With that said, let’s get this show on the road. Eight Reasons Why Wrestlers Should Not Sign with WWE

So being a wrestling fan, I tend to enjoy watching other promotions beyond the mainstay here in the United States, the WWE. Nothing really against the WWE. I can understand the appeal and I do enjoy watching it on the occasions. But given the chance, I tend to want to watch Lucha Underground, AAA, ROH, NJWP, and so forth. I find Mexican Lucha Libre, Japanese style, and the pure style of Ring of Honor over the family friendly material in the WWE. That is just how I roll as a person. However… What I do have a typical issue with is the idea that the WWE is the pinnacle that every wrestler should achieve to reach. I do understand how WWE made themselves the sole franchise in US wrestling with Vince McMahon’s cut throat tactics. But I refuse to believe that all roads in professional wrestling lead to World Wrestling Entertainment. All things considered, I would even say that WWE could potentially be a detriment to any young up and coming pro wrestling. So with that being said, let me take a crack at one of the biggest industries in the United States. This is the Ten Reasons Why Wrestlers Should Not Sign with WWE! Top 5 Royal Rumble Matches

So… I’m drawing a blank today. I’m back in school, 2015 is over, I haven’t had a chance to go see any movies, an apparent blizzard is sweeping through the northeast, bread stock is at an all time high, and I am left with absolutely nothing to review today… Son of a bitch. Well… The Royal Rumble in WWE is this Sunday… And I do enjoy making a list… Let’s rank the best Royal Rumble matches for the pure sake of fucking doing it. Try to keep in mind while I am making this list that I am reviewing the matches, not the events themselves. Continue reading “Top 5 Royal Rumble Matches”

Top Ten Worst Intercontinental Champions

WWE_Intercontinental_Championship_2014So we continue our special with one of the most loved championships in professional wrestling history. If ever there was a belt that was synonymous with the term ‘secondary singles championship’, it would be the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Often imitated, but rarely duplicated, the WWE Intercontinental Championship is the belt that every other secondary championship aspires to be… Granted in the past couple of years, it has been a title synonymous with wrestlers forced to┬ájob out to other people, the the legacy it holds still stands…. Even in if the ROH Television Championship is starting to surpass it thanks to Jay Lethal… and the IWGP Intercontinental Championship… REGARDLESS! This belt has an amazing legacy to it and we are going to look at the best and worst that this championship has to offer.

Due to the fact that this will be a Top Ten list, I will be separating the Best Intercontinental Champions with the Worst Intercontinental Champions. Today, we will be looking at the ones who just didn’t quite have the most ‘illustrious’ of reigns. This is the Top Ten Worst WWE Intercontinental Champions of All Time.
